Only when a thought is consistently accompanied by a feeling does it yield any control over your life. The more you become aware of the energy beneath the thought, the sooner you arrive at a place of peacefulness.
Today I will make a conscious effort to simply watch, as this exercise suggests, and just let any thoughts float by, like fluffy clouds. I will no longer give them power over me. Today I will make a better choice, to become the observer, not the participant.
